10 Days of Summer
Exhibition Architecture by Pinja KoskelinHelsinki Design Week
10 Days of Summer was presented in Helsinki at the Kaisaniemi Botanic Garden in autumn 2025, when the final days of summer were still tangibly present. As exhibition architect, I developed a spatial framework specifically for the greenhouse setting, responding to the scale and structural rhythm of the surrounding glasshouse architecture.
The installation was constructed primarily from reused elements, emphasizing material circulation and future adaptability. Most components were either repurposed or designed for continued reuse, embedding circular thinking into the project’s construction logic. The visual expression remained minimal, allowing the botanical environment to maintain a strong atmospheric presence while framing the works with clarity and restraint.
Participating designers included Aino Michelsen, Aleksi Peltonen, Antrei Hartikainen, Elisa Defossez, Henri Judin, Jonas Lutz, Rasmus Palmgren, Salla Luhtasela, Samuli Helavuo, Studio Tolvanen, Tatu Laakso, and Ville Auvinen.
