Green Core

Installation Design and Project Coordination by Pinja Koskelin
Flow Festival, Helsinki

Green Core was a large-scale light and plant installation created for Flow Festival in Helsinki. The work offered a tropical-inspired resting space within the industrial festival environment of Suvilahti.

Developed collaboratively by a collective of interior architecture students from Aalto University, the installation combined a minimal structural language with dense greenery and dynamic lighting. The concept explored the tension between built environments and untamed nature, creating an immersive space that shifted throughout the day.

The project was realized in collaboration with Sun Effects (lighting design) and supported by Aalto University.

Participating designers: Karita Asmala, Mindele Grant, Piia Jalkanen, Noora Katajalaakso, Pinja Koskelin, Sanni Rajapolvi, Miika Ruotsalainen, and Sara Urbanski.
