Gulf of Reed, created in collaboration with Kadri Kallaste, won the 2019 Habitare Design Competition and was exhibited at Habitare in Helsinki.

The work was inspired by common reed native to the Gulf of Finland. Exploring the structural and expressive potential of this natural material, the installation took the form of a Möbius-like loop — a continuous sculptural surface that invited visitors to sit, gather, and inhabit it from multiple levels.

Balancing sensitivity and durability, the piece highlighted reed as a contemporary, sustainable material with significant untapped potential.
